Born to Max and Betty Kirby and raised in the church, Pastor David Kirby has had many years of pastoral experience in his family. His Father, Max Kirby, for many years was pastor of several churches in the hills of north Alabama. His Grandfather Early McDonald preached all through the south and eventually moved to Lancaster California where he served the Lord until his death. Pastor Kirby has two brothers who Pastor and still reside in North Alabama. After coming to know the Lord as Savior in 1982, Bro. Kirby accepted the call to preach in 1983 while serving in the U.S. Army.

Music has always been Bro. Kirby's first love. Even before salvation, he learned to play piano and guitar. In 1982, he dedicated his talent to God and began a music ministry. As a preacher and a singer, he began to follow in his grandfather McDonald's footsteps and traveled around the south singing and preaching. "I have had the opportunity to sing in a lot of churches," says Bro Kirby, "in Alabama, Georgia, Tennessee ,and the Carolina's, some Midwestern states, and have seen folks come to the Lord."

He also says there's nothing greater than watching an hard hearted sinner walk down the aisle in brokenness, and come to know Jesus as Lord and Savior. He began writing songs about 10 years ago, and one of his favorites is the song he wrote for his father when he past away titled, "Crossing Over."

In March of 2003, Pastor Kirby left his job with the U.S. Postal Service to be full time in the ministry. Through friends in the music business, Rod and Kathy Green, he learned of United Family Fellowship Church and in 2003 preached a revival there. He along with his wife fell in love with the people and 2 years later became their Pastors. Pastor Kirby, his wife Pam, and their children Joshua, Hannah, and Thomas moved to Klamath Falls Oregon in August 2006 bringing with them the southern hospitality that southerners are known for. Their thick southern accent is easily recognized and often commented on by the folks of Klamath Falls.

Sister Kirby enjoys the ministry to children. She started Children's Church at United family Fellowship and has watched the numbers grow. She started a women's bible study as a ministry for the women and also helps with the churches food bank for the needy, and does many other things.

The children are involved with many things in the ministry of the church. Josh plays music, Hannah teaches a Sunday School class, and Thomas helps with the sound board. Also, Josh and Hannah joins their Dad in singing that rich southern 3-part harmony the south is known for.

If your looking for a down home church that is friendly, warm and loving, then look no further, you found your home at United Family Fellowship Church, Klamath Falls Oregon.
